Economic Modeling

We develop rigorous economic models to guide strategic action, ranging from principled statistical analyses that undergird projections and forecasts to dynamic financial models that help clients understand tradeoffs. We build these models to be genuinely useful to the clients and communities we work with, not just technically correct. In practice, that can mean anything from a detailed statistical analysis of how corporate ownership affects a local housing market, to a difference-in-difference regression assessing the impact of a policy on a housing market, to a model that illustrates the impact of zoning or project-type choices on a city's tax revenue.
